“In the Sea Painting series, saturated fields of blue, grey, and indigo reflect and conjure the energy of the sea, tides, wind, waves, stars, clouds, and the sky. These elements surround and inspire me. The night sky, on the Eastern Shore of Virginia is saturated with layers of blue and violet light, interspersed with shimmers of the brilliant light from far away stars. My paintings evolve and are inspired by the wonder of this celestial order.”
