Terry Rosiak (www.terryrosiakimages.com) has been a photographer for over 35 years, creating first with black and white film in my darkroom, then switching to shooting and developing digitally. It started out as a hobby and now is part of my business.

“In high school I loved to paint, but let it lapse. I got back into painting ten years ago when my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Painting brought joy to her, and after she passed, I started a business, Art 2 Empower, to paint with people who have a neurological disease, such as dementia or stroke. It since has evolved to painting with those in assisted living as a fun thing to do. My photography and art have won many awards since 1991. While in high school, I worked for a photographer in his darkroom after school. Since 1991, my photography has been published and was in over 70 shows, solos, and invitationals. I am grateful to TAWA for the opportunities it has given me as an artist. I didn’t pick up a brush to paint again until 10 years ago and have loved it ever since. I had seen how art had tremendous value to those who had dementia. In 2020 I joined Art Storefronts and started devoting full time to both my photography and painting. It has been extremely grateful to see both my photography and art in the homes of collectors.”
