Robert Sakson

Robert Sakson (d. 2020) was born in Trenton and studied at Trenton Jr. College before launching his career as an art director and illustrator for Tony Lee Associates in Trenton, NJ. Even while managing the demands of his career, Sakson established himself as a fine artist and earned signature memberships in the American Watercolor Society, as a Dolphin Fellow; Garden State, New Jersey, and Philadelphia Watercolor Societies; Allied Artists of America; and the Pastel Society of America. He is listed in Who’s Who of American Art and has been in several publications for watercolor. His paintings are included in several corporate and private collections. He taught master watercolor classes at the Perkins Center for the Arts. He won many awards including the Gold Medal from Allied Artists of America and three silver medals from New Jersey Watercolor Society. His motto of “buy nothing new” led to many interesting collections from radios to his Model A.
