Jesse Vincent

dissociate… [living]

Jesse Vincent is a graduate of Arcadia University where she received her BFA in 2011. From 2013 until September 2021, Jesse held the positions of Education and Public Projects Manager at Artworks Trenton, where she also participated in, and managed several aspects of, Art All Night Trenton. Vincent served as assistant curator for Sales Gaspillée, one of Philadelphia’s First Friday Art Shows, as well as coordinating numerous arts-based fundraising events for cancer research and support. Her work has been acknowledged by multiple jurors in past shows and continues to be installed in gallery spaces and shop windows such as Prince Street Gallery in New York, NY, and the Foundry Art Centre in St. Charles, MO. You can also find her work displayed on several abandoned buildings in multiple installments of the city beautification project known as Windows of Soul in Trenton, NJ. Currently residing in Morrisville, PA, Vincent continues to actively participate as a member of Trenton’s art community and is a recent nursing school graduate. She is pursuing a career as mental health nurse for the adolescent population while implementing an integrative approach to healing through the therapeutic impact of art.

“Over the last several years, I wandered amidst experiences straddling a line between reality and simulation, struggling to see where one ends and the next begins. Upon further examination, I’ve found it impossible to distinguish the two. As the realms begin to layer, I slip further into duality until I’ve lost anchor, no longer material. Dissociated.”
