Bowe did independent study work with Barbara Tiso (sculpture), Frank Rivera Art Students League of NY (abstract painting), Sidney Simon (sculpture, and Carter McCaffrey (sculpture). She received her AA in Fine Arts from MCCC, NJ.

“My art making has always been largely in the world of sculpture. At the same time, I always seemed to have a camera handy to document images that interest me: ordinary, extraordinary, people, places, and more. It is very satisfying to be able to return to them again and again. It’s almost like the old TV show, This is Your Life.”
