“I am compelled to create art. I really don’t have a say in the matter. It is like eating and breathing, automatic and fairly constant. The older I become, the more a necessity to create seems to be, as if all the truths and thoughts inside have to unfold. Weaving in and out of different mediums—whether collage, pastel, mixed media, printmaking, or photography allows me to fully express a feeling, a mood. Collage tends toward the whimsical and colorful, oil pastel often the more traditional, and printmaking more simplistic and minimalistic.
