Tricia Fagan is a lifelong, if intermittent, artist who works in multiple media. In recent decades, much of her practice has been administrative and curatorial, in service to regional arts and culture communities. This included serving a five-year stint with TAWA in the 1990s, first as exhibition director and later as board president. It was a privilege.

“For me, part one is just showing up and playing with the medium at hand, in this case, clay. What’s not to love? Of course, the rest requires more: looking deeper, shadow openings, and engaging in a manic pas de deux with the creative source without knowing the actual dance steps.
